Danilo takes firm stance after Juventus freeze out
The Brazilian was surprised by his club’s decision to make him train separately from the rest of the team after days of talks between the Bianconeri and his entourage to reach an agreement over his transfer to the Partenopei.
The former Real Madrid defender was also very disappointed by the treatment received and Juventus’ reluctance to let him go just six months before the expiration of his contract, as he feels it doesn’t reflect the commitment and professionalism he’s always shown for the club.
Danilo considers contract termination as only option after Juventus exclusion
Despite recent contacts between the two parties to find a solution, Calciomercato.com reported that the contract termination is the only option Danilo and his entourage are taking into account, even more so after the Old Lady decided to freeze the 33-year-old out of the squad.
His exclusion shows he’s not in Thiago Motta’s plans anymore, which is why he expects to be free to join Napoli as a free agent.
Antonio Conte’s side is unwilling to pay any fee for a player who would be out of contract in six months, and they’re ready to welcome him at the Stadio Diego Maradona with an 18-month deal as soon as he part ways with the Bianconeri.
