Dani Olmo’s agent speaks out on Barcelona future amid registration problems

The agent of Barcelona star Dani Olmo has on Tuesday provided an insight into his client’s current mindset.

As much, of course, comes amid what has proven a challenging last week for the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital.

Olmo currently finds himself at the heart of a bizarre situation, facing up to the prospect of not being able to take to the pitch over the 2nd half of the campaign.

This comes with Joan Laporta and the Barcelona board struggling in efforts to put the necessary financial parameters in place to register the midfielder with La Liga for the new year.

As much has given rise to chatter that Olmo could even be on the move this winter, with a number of leading clubs from across Europe keeping a close eye on the situation.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his client’s plans was quickly put to Andy Bara, Olmo’s agent.

And, in quotes gathered by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano for GiveMeSport, Bara made use of the opportunity to quell any and all fears on the part of the Barcelona faithful:

“The decision made by Dani is to stay at Barcelona as he wants to play for Barça. We are not considering any other option. Dani wants to play for Barcelona.”
