Dallas Stars Recall Matej Blumel From Texas

The Dallas Stars have recalled forward Matej Blumel from the Texas Stars, the team announced Tuesday.

Blumel, a product of Tabor, Czechia, has seen time with both Dallas and Texas this season, collecting one goal in six NHL games and 32 points in 32 AHL games.

Drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Blumel has appeared in 12 career NHL games, scoring two goals in the process. His AHL productivity over that span has been impressive, putting up 138 points in 162 regular season games.

With Blumel getting recalled, he will have another chance to show that he can stick at the NHL level. Blumel has the skills to slide up and down a lineup and that should come in handy as he looks to make the Stars full time in the near future.
