Dallas Stars Recall Arttu Hyry From Texas

The Dallas Stars have recalled forward Arttu Hyry from the Texas Stars, it was announced Thursday.

Hyry will make his NHL debut tonight against the Ottawa Senators. Hailing from Oulu, Finland, Hyry initially joined the Stars as a free agent back in April.

Having spent the entire season with Texas thus far, Hyry has scored 14 goals and added 12 assists for 26 points in 29 games. Before making the trek overseas, Hyry spent parts of four seasons playing for Karpat in Finland's top pro league (Liiga), putting up 27 goals and 53 points in 147 career regular season games.

Signed through next season, Hyry has emerged as a solid depth player in the Stars system. With Mason Marchment out for the foreseeable future, Hyry will have the chance to make his impact felt at the NHL level.
