Which Dallas Cowboys running back was selected as one of the NFL’s most explosive runners

NFL.com’s Nick Schook utilized NFL’s Next Gen Stats to create a list of the 10 most explosive runners in the NFL.

To make the list the players had to have a minimum of 100 carries and at least 20 carries of more than 10 yards. The list also factored how fast players ran and how they modulated their speed.

Tony Pollard was one of seven running backs in the top ten and was ranked as the No. 5 most explosive player and third-most explosive running back in the league.

Pollard is coming off a career season where he rushed for 1,007 yards with nine touchdowns and earned his first Pro Bowl selection before suffering a broken fibula in the NFC Divisional Round.

Pollard had nine rushes of 20-plus yards last season, only four players in NFL had more carries of 20 or more yards.

Pollard wasn’t the only NFC East running back on the list as Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants made an appearance at No. 7.

The top spot on the NFL’s list went to Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields who took the NFL by storm last season with his rushing prowess.
