Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott leaves game against Atlanta Falcons with injury

Atlanta Falcons defensive end Grady Jarrett (97) sacks Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (4) in the first quarter at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was injured and forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter of the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Prescott was attended to by the team’s medical staff on the sideline looking at his right hand, which he received a cut on.

However, it was not his hand, but a hamstring injury that knocked Prescott out of the game. He was 18-of-24 for 133 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions before leaving the game.

At one point Prescott headed to the blue medical tent but returned to the bench, yet would still be replaced on the ensuing drive by backup quarterback Cooper Rush.

Rush replaced him while the Cowboys were trailing the Falcons 27-13 with 11:08 remaining in the fourth quarter.
