Dallas Cowboy named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September
After a near-perfect start to the season, Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September.
Aubrey is 12-for-13 on field goals this season with his longest being a 65-yarder which was the second longest in NFL history. He is a perfect 7-for-7 on PATs this season and the Plano native lone miss was a 51-yard field goal attempt against the New York Giants.
This is the second time Aubrey has won the award, the first coming in October of last season, which makes him the first Cowboys player to win the award twice.
Aubrey is already the record holder for the longest successful field goal in Cowboys history and with his next make from 60-plus yards he will have four for his career which will tie the franchise and NFL record for most 60-yard field goals in a career with Brett Maher.
