Yahoo Sports Jim Boeheim cleared of wrongdoing in fatal car crash, per report
UPDATE: Boeheim has been cleared of any wrongdoing for his role in the fatal car crash, per ESPN. However, TMZ did report that the Syracuse coach was technically speeding immediately before the crash. going 66 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The district attorney overseeing the case of the fatal crash that saw Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim strike and kill a man with his car last Wednesday expects the case to be closed soon.
Onondaga County DA William Fitzpatrick told the Associated Press that accident reconstruction determined that Boeheim “was traveling within the speed limit or close to it” at the time of the crash.
Boeheim struck man with his car after Syracuse game
According to police, Boeheim ran into 51-year-old Jorge Jimenez late Wednesday when he began walking on a highway as Boeheim was driving on Interstate 690 after Syracuse’s win over Louisville.
The car Jimenez was in had crashed into a guardrail. Jimenez began walking on the highway after the crash, and Boeheim struck him with his car while attempting to avoid the wreckage.
Boeheim didn’t have alcohol in system
Syracuse police said that Boeheim was cooperative and registered a 0.0 when administered a blood-alcohol test.
Fitzpatrick told AP that barring something extraordinary, the case will be closed.
