Cymru Premier round-up: TNS return to winning ways

Aberystwyth Town 0-3 Penybont: Leaders Penybont heaped further misery on managerless Aberystwyth as they secured a ninth league victory of the campaign. Owen Pritchard fired the visitors in front after just 26 seconds at Park Avenue, with Chris Venables making it 2-0 soon after. Nathan Wood scored his side's third late on as Rhys Griffiths' men moved seven points clear at the Cymru Premier summit, ensuring Town remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Caernarfon Town 1-2 Newtown: Caernarfon's four-game winning run came to an end as they were beaten by Newtown at The Oval. Josh Lock opened the scoring for the visitors following Zeli Ismael's missed penalty, and Robert Evans added a second for the Robins on 59 minutes. Louis Lloyd pulled a goal back for the Canaries from the penalty spot, but Newtown held on to end their run of four matches without victory.

Barry Town United 3-1 Briton Ferry Llansawel: Barry beat newly-promoted Briton Ferry to clinch their fourth league triumph of the season. Keenan Patten's sublime solo goal gave the hosts an early lead, although Ellis Sage made it 1-1 two minutes later. But further efforts from Eliot Richards and Ollie Hulbert earned Barry all three points at Jenner Park.

The New Saints 3-0 Cardiff Met: The New Saints returned to winning ways with a comfortable triumph over Cardiff Met at Park Hall. Craig Harrison's side - who had lost three of their past four Cymru Premier games - raced out of the blocks as Evan Cadwallader's own goal and Danny Davies' header put the hosts 2-0 up early on. Former Tottenham Hotspur academy product Aramide Oteh netted the Saints' third after the hour mark as TNS bounced back from defeat to Caernarfon in midweek. Met stay fourth after a third successive loss.

Flint Town United 2-2 Bala Town: Ben Hughes scored in the fifth minute of time added on as Flint claimed a point against Bala at Cae-y-Castell. Sidi Fofana put the Silkmen in front in the 35th minute, although goals from Hussein Mehasseb and Osebi Abadaki either side of half-time looked set to earn the Lakesiders victory until Hughes' last-gasp effort ensured the points were shared.

Haverfordwest County 0-0 Connah's Quay Nomads: Haverfordwest stay second after stretching their unbeaten run to five games following a goalless draw with Connah's Quay. The stalemate at Bridge Meadow Stadium leaves the struggling Nomads in ninth.
