Cymru Premier permutations as five teams still in top six hunt
Phase one of the Cymru Premier concludes this week as the league prepares to split ahead of phase two.
Five fixtures will be played on Tuesday night, and five teams are still battling it out for the three remaining top six places in the top tier of Welsh domestic football.
BBC Sport Wales looks at the key permutations ahead of the final round of phase one fixtures.
Fixtures
Newtown v Penybont
Connah's Quay v Bala Town
Caernarfon Town v Flint Town United
Cardiff Met v The New Saints
Barry Town United v Haverfordwest County
(All kick-offs are at 19:45 GMT on Tuesday, 14 January)
What has already been secured?
The New Saints, Penybont and Haverfordwest have already guaranteed themselves a place in the Championship Conference.
At the other end of the table, Aberystwyth Town sit rock bottom after completing their phase one schedule - which concluded with a 6-1 loss against Briton Ferry.
Antonio Corbisiero's side will be at least six points adrift of safety when phase two gets under way on the weekend of 24 to 26 January.
Newtown - currently second from bottom having lost six league matches in succession - Flint Town and Briton Ferry will all join Aberystwyth in competing in the Play-off Conference in phase two.
What do the other sides need to seal a top-six finish?
Cardiff Met, Caernarfon Town, Bala Town, Barry Town United and Connah's Quay all remain in the hunt to clinch a place in the Championship Conference.
Cardiff Met are in the strongest position and will guarantee a top-six finish if they do not lose against reigning champions and current league leaders TNS at Cyncoed Campus on Tuesday night.
Even if the Archers are beaten by Craig Harrison's side, they will still compete in the Championship Conference in phase two as long as Caernarfon, Bala and Barry do not all secure wins - with the latter also needing an 11-goal swing.
Caernarfon have reached the top half in five of their six seasons since returning to the top flight, and a win for the Canaries against Flint guarantees that Richard Davies' side will be in the top half after the split. A draw - and potentially even defeat - could be enough if other results go their way.
After seeing their nine-game unbeaten run in the league come to an end against Caernarfon, Bala sit sixth, level with Barry on 29 points, although the Lakesiders boast a significantly superior goal difference.
Victory over Connah's Quay will ensure Colin Caton's side will clinch a top-six place for the 11th season running.
A draw will also be enough, providing that Barry fail to beat Haverfordwest. Given that their goal difference is inferior to that of the Nomads, defeat would see them drop into the bottom half.
Things are a little more complicated for Barry - who could finish in the top six with a win or a draw against Haverfordwest.
Steve Jenkins' side will finish above Bala if they better the Lakesiders' result. Failing that, Barry will need to win and hope for favours from Flint and TNS - who take on Caernarfon and Cardiff Met respectively.
The equation for Connah's Quay is far simpler. The Nomads have to beat Bala and hope Barry lose to Haverfordwest at Jenner Park if they are to sneak into the top six on the final day of phase one.
