Curtis McKenzie And Zac Dalpe Named AHL All-Star Classic Captains
Charlotte Checkers forward Zac Dalpe and Texas Stars forward Curtis McKenzie have been named playing captains for the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic.
The captains are selected by the league president.
Dalpe has three points in nine games this season and 392 in his 574 game AHL career. He has served as captain for the Checker for the past four seasons.
This will be the 35-year-old's first AHL All-Star Game, he was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team in 2009-10.
A second round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2008, Dalpe has 32 points in 168 career NHL games.

McKenzie is in his fourth straight and fifth total season as captain of the Stars, he has 14 points in 26 games this season. He has 465 points in 612 career AHL games.
The 33-year-old was AHL Rookie of the Year and won the Calder Cup with Texas in 2013-14. He has 23 points in 99 career NHL games, all with Dallas.
The Golden, BC., native just returned from the Spengler Cup where he represented Team Canada.
The 2025 AHL All-Star Classic will take place from Feb. 2-3 at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.
