enforced to the suits of the court itself does not have a police force. But other countries around the world will look at this and they have a role to play, so canada, germany, the U.S. obviously because many countries are sending arms to israel and that has been debate around us. Even if the court doesn't have means to enforce the order many countries may start looking at there role and saying, if we want to abide in uphold the court ruling then maybe we should start looking at our own rule and that mean things like stopping dissent arms. Because we are perhaps contributing to the violation of a court order, again a court that canada has its own cases against iran for example. Will how can canada have any links most missy using the court authority to force another country and on the one hand disregard the court order against israel in this case. I think it will have concrete impact, but the impact might fill through the actions of other countries or perhaps arms export. >> Akshay: let me ask you a larger question here. Of what israel is doing on the ground in gaza. South africa said it constitutes to genocide and the icj has a give or ruling on the front. What about that aspect two one that's the underlined question. So the case is about the prevention of genocide and that's a very serious allegation. But the court will not rule on the issue for years to come, usually litigation takes years. These are provisional measures so the standard is low. The court is looking at the plausibility criteria so is it plausible based on the evidence that there is a risk of harm flowing from -- the court has said yes but I will say again the court has might have ruled there is no genocide. But I would point to the fact that disregarding the court orders in itself might be look bad on the merits stage when the court is looking at the issues. And they say, we asked you to allow aid and stopper operation because we found there was a plausible risk of harm. You didn't and so this might be further evidence used against israel to say, there might be genocidal to ask going on there. >> Akshay: we leave it at that for this evening. Bruno professional professional of international law, we appreciate your time. At the university of toronto issued a trespass noticed for those participating in an pro- palestinian encampment. >> Whether or not there is full and can't -- encampment or escalation is in the hands of them. >> Akshay: it comes after the universities gave protesters a 24-hour deadline to accept which they did not. The university says it will take all necessary legal steps if the protesters do not leave my monday morning. And cdv mike walker joins from the university of toronto following the story very closely, talk to us about the reaction. What are student protesters saying about this trespass noticed? >> Reporter: this came as no surprise, the students have been all along to keep the encampment in place, howling to keep negotiations with the university and have their demands met. They were not surprised when special constables with the university arrive shortly after the 4:00 pm deadline, we are talking about minutes after the deadline and presented them with a trespass noticed. But students also tell us that they are continuing to make progress, that university administrators have agreed to meet with them this weekend. That will happen sunday at 5:00 pm where they can further discuss their concerns and demands, they are telling us that the final offer that was presented to them by the university. This is the first time we have seen it in riding and they believe there's an opportunity to make improvements to that offer. >> Akshay: let's talk about if there is no agreement after the meeting on sunday, what happens next? What do you think we will see from the school or authorities? >> The university has stressed that if this encampment is still in place by 8:00 am the monday and they will take all legal options that are available, that includes an injunction from ontario -- ontario superior

court. There could be the possibility that they will have toronto police attend and help them clear the encampment, we have reached out to toronto police and they say the university has not requested assistance to have this encamping removed. >> Akshay: we also believe that after this trespass noticed came forth in terms of the fortification that is around the encampment, it has been reinforced by the students. Is that correct? >> That I cannot say for sure, it seems to be the same fortification fencing around the property that I have seen when I was last year. Couple of weeks ago when it was first established, of course along the perimeter people have put up flags and barriers. I think one entrance to the encampment, there are people who are with organizers and demonstrators who have been standing guard and allowing people in and out. Including members of the media but that has been the case pretty much since the students first arrived on may 2nd to wheatley but at that for now, appreciate the update mike. And money was being used to finance that organization. Sent back home to further that because. The crown say on may 29th that plan was put into action, alleging that the men pulled a handgun and shot the man. They say they saw a slender man rushed from the hospital -- which sped off. Inside they heard several pops, the mother was shot in the arm and she rushed in to see several family members to be shot. She testified, I looked at him, he looked at me. Police full footage from 70 dash cam's en route to follow the accord back to the business, one officer testified a major break in the case. >> Akshay: in other news the truck driver who caused a tragic humboldt broncos bus crash will be deported. The lawyer for jaskirat singh sidhu says the decision was a foregone conclusion as all that was required to the port sidhu to prove that he is not a canadian citizen and he committed a serious crime. [ Inaudible ] and injured in the crash, in 2019 sidhu [ Inaudible ] facing discontent from shoppers, the parent company of loblaw and so bees are under investigation by canada's competition beer for alleged anti- competitive conduct. >> Reporter: canada's grocery giants so bees and loblaw's already facing scrutiny over rising food prices are now on the receiving end of investigation launched by the competition bureau of canada. >> Any time you're being investigated by the competition bureau, something serious is happening because they don't get involved that often and in fact I think this is a very novel case. >> Reporter: both chains are accusing of using property controls to limit competition in the retail grocery sector. >> Benmak lots of competition directly linked to the high price of food. >> When you tried to link geography as a retailer and your suppressing competition access, access to affordable food becomes an issue for a loving -- a lot of people. >> Reporter: they called the investigation on lawful, law professor says" this case will resonate with many canadians who are struggling with the high cost of groceries,". >> That's one of the competition bureau has the look at, they have to look at it

independently, not be overly influenced by political opinion but at the end of the day they can decide if it's proper competitive activity. >> Reporter: wayne mckay says the competition bureau has been enough of a case to pursue this and a long-term, he says its possible this could go down a path that results in increased competition and more affordable food prices. Paul hollingsworth, ctv news. >> Akshay: >> On september the 5th, stories like this one will be able to sell beer, cider and wine. >> Akshay: as of august for us 150 license group will be able to sell any to drink coolers including beer.
