Crystal Palace have submitted a £15 million offer to acquire the services of Liverpool winger Ben Doak, according to The Sun.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Championship outfit Middlesbrough, where he has excelled with two goals and five assists to his name.

Doak kicked off his footballing journey with Celtic before moving to Liverpool in March 2022, but a lack of regular playing minutes forced him to leave Anfield on a temporary basis.

Having caught the eye during the first half of the season, Doak could now be set for a return to the Premier League as Palace look to snap up the Scotsman, who put on a show on international duty back in November.

Liverpool reportedly have an option to recall Doak from his loan in January, which could then facilitate a potential move to Crystal Palace.

Middlesbrough, meanwhile, would likely prefer to retain him for the remainder of the season to aim their quest for position.

While Doak is reportedly eager to prove his worth at Liverpool in the long run, he remains open to top-flight opportunities elsewhere.

Having endured a relatively underwhelming campaign to date, Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that the club are aiming to sign two players in January.

“We want to sign two players,” Glasner was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

“The profiles are clear; players are fixed. There is a clear commitment to sign two players.”

Doak could very well be one of them, although Palace have also been linked with the likes of Maxence Caqueret, Jan Niklas-Beste and El Hadji Malick Diouf.

Courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Southampton to draw the curtain on 2024, the Eagles have moved up to 15th in the Premier League table.

They will now go in search of consecutive league wins for the first time this term when Chelsea come visiting Selhurst Park tomorrow.
