Crystal Palace sign Daichi Kamada after controversial Lazio exit

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of Japan international Daichi Kamada following his bitter Lazio exit.

The playmaker signed a one-year deal with the Serie A giants last summer after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt, but it did include an option for a considerable signing bonus to extend, and he reportedly gave the club his word that he would trigger it.

However, following interest from Palace, Kamada opted to join the Premier League side, which saw him branded a 'mercenary' by president Claudio Lotitio.

The 27-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Selhurst Park.

The move sees him reunited with Oliver Glasner, following a successful stint together at Eintracht Frankfurt, which saw them win the Europa League in 2022.
