Crystal Palace co-owner Textor 'enters exclusivity period' with Everton
Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor has taken steps towards a potential takeover of Everton.
According to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, Textor has entered into an exclusivity period with the club’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
He is the fourth interested party to hold talks with by the Goodison Park supremo in the past 12 months after, MSP Sports Capital, 777 Partners and The Friedkin Group.
Textor previously expressed his desire to take the reins of the Toffees despite holding a 45% stake in Palace, which he has been actively trying to sell since last year.
The 58-year-old will need to relinquish his majority share in the Selhurst Park club before formalising any involvement in Everton due to Premier League ownership rules.
