Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Arizona Coyotes’ goaltender Antti Raanta was injured in Friday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes and did not return, as the club announced during the third period.

The Canes were ahead 3-0 entering the third period after goals from Warren Foegele, Lucas Wallmark and Martin Necas on 28 shots.

Raanta was named the starter ahead of Friday’s game for his first appearance since pulling himself from the game against Philadelphia on January 4th due to a lower-body injury. The 30-year-old Finn has a 9-8-2 record this season with a 2.66 goals-against average and .921 save percentage in 20 appearances.

Adin Hill took the crease for the Coyotes for the third period and faced only one shot.

The Hurricanes went on to win the contest 3-0.
