Alabama defensive back Deionte Thompson was allegedly captured on video kicking an 18-year-old man in the head.

A felony arrest warrant was sought for Thompson’s arrest last week. The 20-year-old is accused, along with three others, of a spring break assault in Crystal Beach, Texas, on March 18.

Per the Decatur Daily, the existence of a video showing Thompson and Rufus Joseph allegedly kicking Noah Frillou in the head was discovered in interviews with a female witness. Frillou allegedly was knocked unconscious during the assault and suffered multiple facial fractures.

Later during the interview, the witness “clearly remembers” one of those involved in kicking Frillou in the head wore a “white Alabama hat,” which the officers identified as Thompson from a previous video from the scene.

According to the video, Thompson was dressed in “a white Alabama hat backward, a white sleeveless shirt and gray and red shorts,” while Rufus Joseph was identified by his “gray sweat shorts.”

Per court records obtained by the Anniston Star, Frillou said the only thing he remembered from that day was going to the beach.

Thompson, 20, turned himself in to the Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s Department last Friday and was “excused” from the team to “cooperate with law enforcement” per a statement from Alabama coach Nick Saban last week. Saban said Thursday at his news conference that he had “no intentions of taking action until I know what I’m taking action for or about.”

Thompson is set to be a redshirt sophomore in 2017. Eight of his nine tackles on the season came by way of playing coverage for Alabama’s kickoff team.
