Count On Macklin Celebrini Lifting Sharks Over Utah HC for Shocking Road Win

Friday night is the ultimate opportunity for NHL fans, with a loaded lineup of thrilling matchups to cap off the week and should satisfy fans heading into the weekend. One game that stands out on the schedule is the last one with the Sharks traveling to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Hockey Club.

For bettors, this matchup provides a chance to capitalize on some of our recent strong trends, like our 18-9 record on our last 27 picks and our 12-6 record on our last 18 player prop picks.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Sharks +1.5 (-110), Macklin Celebrini Over 0.5 points (-130)

The Sharks have fallen into the driest of spills with a 3-11-1 record over their last 15 games but while fans are disappointed, betters couldn't be happier. San Jose has routinely kept games close with a 27-16 record against the spread, including two surprising covers against some of the best teams in the league in the Devils and the Lightning.

They now travel onto the road where they are 5-11-5 but are 14-7 against the spread. Utah is also a solid betting team this season with a 22-18 record but have fallen flat when performing in front of their fans with a league-worst 5-8-4 home record that only slightly improves to 7-10 against the spread.

This is a perfect spot to fade the public as the Sharks are potentially heating up with wins in two of their last three games while Utah HC has dropped four straight home games. I expect a response game from Utah that could even lift them to a win but San Jose will certainly be lively in this one as their young players are starting to gain some confidence.

Utah has a 3.29 home goals against average this season, which should open the door for Calder trophy favourite Macklin Celebrini. The 2024 first overall pick has done the best he can in a bad situation with five goals and eight assists for a point per game average in his last 13 games.
