The final unveiling press conference of the 2024 summer mercato took place at Casa Milan yesterday as Tammy Abraham answered questions from journalists.

Abraham joined Milan on a deadline day loan deal from AS Roma with Alexis Saelemaekers going the other way as part of the operation, and he made his debut less than 24 hours later against Lazio at his old home the Stadio Olimpico, assisting Rafael Leao for the equaliser.

As Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan), Abraham was present at the club headquarters yesterday to talk about joining his new club and what motivated him to want Milan so badly. The Rome-based paper also note that he took a parting shot at Roma.

He was asked if he did not feel the faith of Roma any more and if it was not just a case of wanting the Rossoneri but also actively wanting to leave the Giallorossi, and his response was interesting.

“No it’s not a situation where I lost confidence. It’s a club that everybody and the fans know much it means to me. I enjoyed playing there also, but sometimes in life you need to know when to take the next step, to take the next level,” he said.

“Luckily for me this is a point of my life where this moment has arrived. I’m here now, my focus is here and of course I wish Roma well, but my concentration is here and trying to win things at Milan.”
