CorSera: Why Bennacer and Rabiot moves are unlikely to happen for Milan
The summer transfer window ended on Friday at midnight and yet there is still ongoing speculation that AC Milan could make further moves in the midfield.
More specifically, Il Corriere della Sera (via PianetaMilan) speak about the idea of Ismael Bennacer’s farewell to Milan and the arrival of Adrien Rabiot as a free agent, given he is without a club after leaving Juventus.
Instead, it is almost certain that nothing will come of it. The Algerian left Milanello a few days ago because he was very close to being sold, when Atletico Madrid and Marseille were on his trail, yet in the end neither club made the decisive move.
At the moment, the Saudi market is still open and that gives the possibility of a team from the Pro League coming forward with a bid for Bennacer, but at the moment this hypothesis seems unlikely because of the lack of a concrete move to this point.
The only way that Milan could sign Adrien Rabiot is for the former Empoli man to accept a move to Saudi Arabia in addition to a club offering the right sum, and at present neither seem likely. Galatasaray, meanwhile, are pushing for the Frenchman.
