AC Milan are expecting to receive bids from Saudi Pro League teams in the near future for Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer.

As reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), the Rossoneri’s midfielder is attracting serious interest from teams in Saudi Arabia and they would be open to selling him this summer for the right price.

Bennacer is under contract until 2027 and currently earns €4m per season, so Milan can drive a hard bargain for him and it would be a sizable chunk to remove from the wage bill.

The suggestion is that Bennacer is very open to playing in Saudi Arabia but it is not clear if he views this as too early in his career to make such a move.

A host of players have been linked with the Milan midfield which means Bennacer could see his playing time reduced under Paulo Fonseca, given he has struggled to make an impact since returning from a serious injury.

The likes of Youssouf Fofana, Adrien Rabiot and Andre Trindade are targets for Milan and the arrival of any of them could spell the end of Bennacer’s time with the Rossoneri, despite being a very important player before the injury in the 2022/23 Champions League semi-final.
