Confirmed: Real Madrid’s stance on re-signing Sergio Ramos

An insight into the feelings of the Real Madrid board when it comes to a potential reunion with Sergio Ramos has on Sunday come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Marca, and warns those of a Real persuasion not to get their hopes up when it comes to as much.

The name of veteran defender Ramos has of course emerged as a leading one in the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the defensive crisis in Carlo Ancelotti’s Real squad took another turn for the worse.

En route to a 4-0 La Liga drubbing of Osasuna, Éder Militão was stretchered off with what was later announced as a ruptured ACL.

This means that, in Los Blancos’ backline at present, all of the Brazilian, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Joan Martínez are ruled out long-term.

With options thin on the ground, and a busy schedule to face up to on the far side of the international break, it had in turn been suggested over recent hours that Florentino Pérez and co. could move to bring back the aforementioned Sergio Ramos.

Real Madrid icon Ramos currently finds himself without a club, meaning he could be signed immediately.

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then this will not be the case.

As per a report from Marca:

‘The return of Ramos, requested by Guti, is not a possibility and has not crossed the minds of those in charge at Real Madrid. There is no room for that possibility, no matter how much some Real Madrid fans think about the return of the former captain of the white ship.’
