Confirmed Man Utd line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Southampton, Yoro starts in 3 big changes
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for tonight’s Premier League clash against Southampton at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils progressed to the FA Cup fourth round last weekend following a sublime win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
United were down to 10 men for an hour, but they managed to hold onto a 1-1 scoreline before eventually winning on penalties.
Amorim will be eyeing another strong performance against the Saints. Ahead of the game, he has made three changes from the Cup win.
Altay Bayindir was brilliant in goal against the Gunners with six saves before denying Kai Havertz in the shoot-out.
Despite this, he is only on the bench. Andre Onana is an undisputed starter in the league and has got the nod tonight.
The back three sees one change with Harry Maguire given a breather. The centre-back played through illness against Arsenal.
Leny Yoro has come in to partner Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez in central defence.
With Diogo Dalot suspended, Noussair Mazraoui will start at left wing-back. Amad Diallo returns to the XI from the right wing-back role.
The central midfield stays unchanged. Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo retain their places.
Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho continue in the number 10 positions while Rasmus Hojlund leads the line for United once more.
United are winless in the last four league games with one point, but should be favourites to pick up a resounding win against bottom-placed Southampton.
