‘Confirmed’ – James Pearce shares huge Trent Alexander-Arnold update coming out of Liverpool
Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has not picked up a serious injury.
The Reds defender picked up a hamstring injury in the first half of their 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, and he was replaced by Conor Bradley.
Arne Slot was unsure about the severity of the injury, but he hoped that it would not be serious.
James Pearce of The Athletic has shared the news on X that Alexander-Arnold will only be missing for a couple of weeks.
The Liverpool right-back was playing with painkilling injections in recent weeks, and he won’t take any part in England’s upcoming fixtures.
Pearce wrote: “Confirmed. Good news for Liverpool with Alexander-Arnold only expected to be out for a couple of weeks.”
Massive news for Liverpool ahead of crucial games
Alexander-Arnold is arguably one of the best right-backs in the Premier League, and Liverpool need him to be at his best after the international break when they face some tough teams in the league and in European games.
The injury may have come as a blessing in disguise for the Reds. He can rest properly in the next two weeks and then return to the training fit and fresh.
The Reds passed the litmus test after the October international break as they picked up wins against Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Brighton and drew against Arsenal.

More tough tests are waiting for them after the November international break. They face Real Madrid, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Everton in quick succession, and Slot will need his best players to deliver.
With that win against Villa, the Reds have moved to five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool, however, are yet to reach a contract extension agreement with three of their best players – Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. All three are approaching the end of their contracts, and as of now, they are yet to sign new deals at the club.
