Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Aston Villa: Jurrien Timber starts, fresh injury confirmed

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made one change to the starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The Gunners registered a solid 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the curtain-raiser and they now face a tricky challenge on the road.

Villa did the double over them last season, and the Gunners will be aiming to make amends with a strong performance with a victory this evening.

Arteta has made one important change to the starting XI. David Raya continues in goal with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence.

Ben White starts from the right side of the back four while Jurrien Timber has come into the team for Oleksandr Zinchenko in the left-back position.

Zinchenko was guilty of losing possession on 11 occasions against Wolves, winning only four out of 10 duels. The right decision has been made to drop him.

The rest of the line-up stays unchanged. Thomas Partey will operate as the number six with Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard in the central midfield positions.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli start on the flanks, with Kai Havertz leading the attack against Unai Emery’s side this evening.

There is a huge absentee in the matchday squad. Gabriel Jesus has not made the trip after picking up a groin injury during a training session.

Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-3-3) vs Aston Villa: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Partey, Odegaard, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.
