Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden says he is still confident in his own ability, despite having played out of position for England for the majority of Euro 2024.

Foden had been occupying the role of left winger before the quarter-final against Switzerland, but in Saturday's game he moved to a dual number 10 role with Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham.

"I was a bit slow at the start but I feel I have grown into the tournament," Foden told BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily at the Euros podcast.

"My confidence is not low as I still believe in my ability on the pitch.

"Personally, and as a team, there are still so many gears to go and we can be better. That is a positive because we have still reached a semi-final by not being at our best but by grinding out results.

"Off the field, we have a real togetherness and bond. It is like a family and I think you can see that on the pitch because we never give up."
