Comuzzo confirmed as Napoli’s January target after Fiorentina rejection
Napoli are continuing their pursuit of Pietro Comuzzo, reportedly pushing to reach an agreement with Fiorentina, who have already rejected their opening bid.
The 19-year-old defender has been one of his side’s revelations this season, establishing himself as a regular presence in Raffaele Palladino’s starting XI.
Despite prioritising an offensive reinforcement to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Viola centre-back also recently emerged as a potential option for the Partenopei, who are said to be willing to bring in one of the most exciting Italian defensive prospects to pair with Alessandro Buongiorno in the future.
Napoli keep pushing for Comuzzo deal with Fiorentina
Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed that Napoli have identified Comuzzo as a January target and are willing to keep working to persuade Fiorentina to sell the youngster this winter.
Negotiations are expected to continue in the next few days, as Antonio Conte’s side are required to increase their initial offer of €20m.
Meanwhile, the Partenopei are also continuing talks for Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, as they hope that Patrick Dorgu’s imminent move to Old Trafford paves the way for the forward’s exit.
