This is at least familiarity territory for the Cincinnati Bengals. They are off to an 0-2 start for the fifth time in six seasons and they have to wait until hosting the Washington Commanders (1-1) on "Monday Night Football" to try to get off the mat in Week 3.

Cincinnati has won or tied its third game of the year every time it has begun 0-2 with Joe Burrow at quarterback. Burrow eased some concerns about the offseason surgery performed on his wrist in the Bengals' last-second Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but the demeanor and production of wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase remain a looming issue after Chase and Cincinnati's front office couldn't come to terms on a contract extension before the season.

The Commanders got their first win of the season under new coach Dan Quinn and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, using seven field goals to beat the New York Giants, 21-18. Kicker Austin Seibert, signed during the week leading into the game, was a revelation. The red zone offense was worrisome. Daniels and running back Brian Robinson Jr. give Washington a potentially potent rushing attack, but it's one of four teams without a touchdown pass thus far.
