On Monday night, youngsters Denton Mateychuk and Luca Del Bel Belluz provided the offense in the loss. Mateychuk played 14 minutes, while Del Bel Belluz played just under 17. Daniil Tarasov made 23 saves on 26 Caps shots as well.
Tonight will be an interesting night for the Jackets. All six defensemen are very young and looking to get a foothold in the NHL. Denton Mateychuk, Jordan Harris, and David Jiříček could all be on the opening night roster on October 10th in Minnesota.
Jet Greaves missed the game against the Caps due to illness, but he is back in the lineup tonight and should get the start.
With two games left on the preseason schedule after tonight, this could be a big game for some of these young guys.
The Blues are back in action after having beat the Chicago Blackhawks on September 28th by a score of 3-2. They have a preseason record of 1-3 thus far as they look to beat the CBJ tonight.
How to Watch & Listen: Tonight's game will be streamed on BlueJackets.com and the CBJ App. The game will be on 97.1 The Fan as well.
