Columbus Blue Jackets Loan Gavin Brindley To Cleveland Monsters

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced they have activated forward Gavin Brindley from the injured reserve and loaned him to their AHL affiliate Cleveland Monsters.

Brindley broke a finger in a pre-season game against the St. Louis Blues and has not played a regular season game this year.

The 20-year-old was the 34th overall selection by the Blue Jackets in the 2023 draft. He recorded 25 goals and 53 points in 40 games last season with the University of Michigan before joining the Blue Jackets at the end of the regular season and appearing in one game.

Brindley was named Big Ten Player of the Year, named to the Big Ten First All-Star Team, and to the NCAA West First All-American Team in in 2024.

The Fort Myers, FL., native also won the gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 World Junior Championship and scored one goal in five games at the Men's World Hockey Championship.

The extremely talented winger seems poised to make his AHL debut with the Monsters as he looks to gain professional experience and work his way onto the Blue Jackets roster.
