Columbus Blue Jackets (50 pts) vs. New York Rangers (45 pts) Game Preview

The Jackets have ventured into New York City for their first time this season as they look to win a 7th straight game.

This is the first game of a four-game road gauntlet for Columbus. They're in Manhattan to play the Rangers tonight, they play on the Island on Monday, then play in back-to-back nights against Toronto and Carolina before coming home next Saturday to play the LA Kings. This will be a true test for the young Blue Jackets.

New York's struggles have been well-documented over the last couple of months. They currently sit 6th in the Metro with 45 points, five back of Columbus for the first wild card. They've gone 5-3-2 in their last 10, but have won 3 of the last 4, with wins over Vegas and New Jersey among those.

The Jackets can't take the Rangers lightly despite their struggles this season. They will beat Columbus soundly if they don't come out swinging tonight at MSG.
