Which colleges produced the most NFL coaches on staff this year?

NFL coaches represent more than just their franchises. They also represent the colleges and universities where they started.

Some schools can boast major names, such as Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay and the Baltimore Ravens' John Harbaugh, who both played football at Miami University in Ohio. Kyle Shanahan graduated from Texas, and Wesleyan University gets to claim Bill Belichick.

But as for which colleges churned out the most coaches on NFL staffs this season? Alabama, Michigan and Temple are in a three-way tie for that distinction.

Each have 11 coaches in NFL organizations. How do the other schools stack up around the league?

USA TODAY Sports' NFL Coaches Project gathered data on all 722 on-field NFL coaches at the start of this season. Here's a ranking of colleges that produced the most 2022 NFL coaches.

Note: If a coach attended more than one college or university, the school they graduated from or attended last is credited. If schools are tied, they are listed alphabetically.
