Baylor men's golf coach Mike McGraw has announced the addition of Ryan Murphy to the coaching staff.

Murphy spent 10 years as the head women’s coach at the University of Texas after spending six years as an assistant for John Fields and the Texas men's program.

"We are thrilled that Ryan will join our staff," he said. "His experience and expertise will benefit our players greatly, while Coach [Jeremy] Alcorn and I are also looking forward to learning from Ryan. This is a big move for our program."

Murphy is the 2022 Big 12 Women's Golf Coach of the Year helped Texas to five Big 12 titles in his 10 seasons at the helm, highlighted by three-straight from 2017-19.

His first head-coaching job came in 2005 when he was at the helm of the St. Edwards Hilltoppers for three seasons. Murphy began his career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, New Mexico, from 2001-05.
