Labor Day weekend means college football has officially arrived.
No. 1 Georgia got things started with an absolute show of force, blasting No. 14 Clemson 34-3 in their season opener. Heisman favorite Carson Beck was on point throughout the marquee showdown, throwing for 278 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
In the late game, No. 7 Notre Dame stood tall in a heavyweight fight with No. 20 Texas A&M and pulled away for a 23-13 win. The two teams traded blows throughout before the Irish broke the tie late with their rushing attack and a stringent defense.

In a game that's had multiple weather delays of several hours, both teams agreed to call it a completed game. There would have been 9:56 left in the 3rd quarter, but that's all forgotten now.
Idaho is picked off in its final possession and the No. 3 Ducks hang on in a game where they were favored by 49.5 points. Ugly win is still a win!

The final score doesn't exactly tell the story. The late pick-six by Will Johnson was essentially a 14-point swing in a close game late in the fourth quarter.

Pick-6 for Michigan!
It's over in Ann Arbor. Fresno State had a great drive going and was inside the 10 before Michigan's Will Johnson jumped a route and returned the ball 86 yards for a touchdown to seal it.
The Aggies FINALLY put together a full drive and Le'Veon Moss punches it in from the 1-yard line after a PI call in the end zone set them up. We're all tied up with 11:49 to play in College Station.
Michigan's player of the game today? Kicker Dominic Zvada.
He's made field goals from 55, 53 and 45 yards.
Michigan leads Fresno State 16-3 early in the 4th.

Back in action at College Station, Notre Dame goes for it on 4th down at its own 33 yard line (!) and converts. But a few plays later, the Irish FAIL to convert on another 4th down try at midfield.
After the play was upheld by review, Texas A&M takes over at the 50. Right call?
Michigan tacks on a field goal to extend its lead to 13-3 over Fresno State, but it's been a bit of a struggle offensively for the Wolverines and QB Davis Warren, who started today over Alex Orji.
Oddly enough, Orji has Michigan's only TD pass on his only attempt of the day. He's mostly been used as a RB otherwise.
The Irish had the ball inside Texas A&M's 10 but couldn't do anything with it and settled for a short field goal.

Dillon Gabriel is not having an easy debut thus far for Oregon. He suffered a finger injury in the first quarter and now he's fumbled the ball away as the pocket collapsed under pressure from Idaho.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy had jokes after the Cowboys' season-opening win Saturday.
Mike Gundy asked about helmet communications, and if he can hear what's being said.
"I can't. They won't let me hear it. If we can get a good IT guy, maybe that one from Michigan (Connor Stalions) that'd be good. Even though he didn't do it."
