College football analyst Danny Kanell has random rant over transfer portal on social media

Another day, another rant from Danny Kanell.

The CBS Sports and SiriusXM college football analyst, and former Florida State quarterback, set his sights on players entering the transfer portal, for whatever reason, as if that has been the status quo for the past few seasons.

Kanell's bland attempt at humor started with a social media post in which he questioned players who said they would miss their former teammates and coaches after deciding to enter the portal.

"If you are going to enter the transfer portal, just go," Kanell posted. "It's your right. Go get your $$$. But can we please stop with the lengthy love letters professing 'I'll always be a __________' and how much you love your coaches and teammates??? No…you won't be. No…you don't."

Kanell even wrote a "love/Dear John letter" to further explain his displeasure.

"We are deeply saddened to lose someone we consider a son, or – well, actually a foster child at the very least..But you get the point," Kanell said. "Your new school truly is going to get an incredible talent. And while you didn't get to start for us we truly hope that the 5th time is the charm for your agent, your manager, and your personal trainer.

"You will always be a part of our family and will always be welcomed back here on campus...For the Spring Game," Kanell continued.
