Colchester sign MK Dons defender Tucker on loan

Colchester United have signed defender Jack Tucker from fellow League Two side Milton Keynes Dons for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old, who signed from Gillingham in 2022, has figured only intermittently this season.

"Obviously, every footballer wants to play games, as many as you can really," he said. "That's what everyone looks forward to in the week.

"That's not been there for me for the past few months or so, so I'm really keen to get going and get as many minutes as I can and get a run in the team."

Meanwhile, Matt Jay and Will Greenidge have both left the U's, after having their contracts cancelled by mutual consent, allowing them to join another club as free agents in the January transfer window or beyond.
