McCallum, who joins the Firebirds from the OHL's Sudbury Wolves, just finished his last year of junior eligibility.

A product of Delhi, Ont., McCallum appeared in 64 regular season games for the Wolves in 2023-24, scoring 21 goals and adding 38 assists for 59 points. He also appeared in nine playoff games, putting up four points.

Drafted by Sudbury in the first round of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, McCallum spent his entire junior career with the Wolves, collecting 153 points in 246 career regular season games.

As McCallum makes the jump to the AHL, he has the ability to become a difference maker for the Firebirds. Intelligent and poised with the puck, McCallum has the wherewithal to find teammates through pressure and has shown the ability to step up when needed.
