A product of Hinsdale, Ill., McLaughlin spent this past season playing for the Kansas City Mavericks (ECHL). In 51 games, he scored three goals and added 11 assists for 14 points.
Throughout his pro career, McLaughlin has seen time in the AHL with the Firebirds, Henderson Silver Knights and the Milwaukee Admirals.
Prior to turning pro, McLaughlin spent four years playing at UMass (NCAA) where he collected 42 points in 138 career games.
With McLaughlin extending with the Firebirds, he could be a solid depth piece for 2024-25 as they look to make their way back to the Calder Cup finals.
