CM: Tomori could unlock a January Ricci move for Milan – the details

Fikayo Tomori has been cast aside in recent weeks, but AC Milan could still get some important help from the Englishman as we approach January, according to a report.

Milan have struggled in every department recently, and there have been questions asked about every position. However, the defence and midfield have regularly been the two biggest question marks in the squad.

In central defence, the Rossoneri were left looking for a partner for Tomori, and in midfield, there has been a lack of balance. Now though, things have changed slightly. The Englishman’s ranking has fallen, and now he is often on the bench, with Paulo Fonseca preferring Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw.

However, he could still prove important to the club and its future. As Calciomercato.com reports, the defender could leave the club in January, and a price of €25-30 million is possible in this mercato, and interest is present.

Should this move occur, it is possible that the Diavolo would accelerate plans to bring Samuele Ricci to the club by six months, and he could arrive in the January window, to balance the midfield. Milan are ‘increasingly inclined’ to make an attempt mid-season and a positive Supercoppa Italiana performance could make things tick.
