CM: ‘Ricci in the summer’ – Milan’s midfield targets in the meantime
In the upcoming mercato’s AC Milan will look to make some additions to their midfield, and they have road-mapped their plans.
As we approach November, mercato plans become more visible, and this is the case with Milan. Of course, there are areas which will be focused on, and these are quite easy to spot – for example, left-back and midfield – it is the latter where the Rossoneri are looking at currently.
In the January mercato, there are three clear targets, as Calciomercato.com reports. Carney Chukwuemeka is a ‘favourite’ of Geoffrey Moncada, and if a non-EU spot were to become free, the Diavolo could act with a loan-to-buy deal.
Alternatively, Johnny Cardoso and Luca Gourna-Douath are being watched eagerly. The Betis midfielder has been ‘considered for some time’ and whilst a January purchase would be difficult, it would not be impossible. It seems a move for the Frenchman is not as favoured, with him only being followed at present.
Then, in the summer, Milan will make a move for Samuele Ricci. A January move is near impossible, as the Rossoneri found with the deal for Alessandro Buongiorno this year. Urbano Cairo only intends to sell him in the summer, so that is when the Diavolo will join the race.
