CM: Milan ‘still evaluating’ Parisi as Theo alternative – January move possible
With Theo Hernandez’s position dwindling, AC Milan are considering alternatives for now and the future and one could arrive in January.
There have been several issues in the Milan squad this season, but it could be argued that none have been as decisive as Theo’s. The Frenchman has struggled to perform at his best and after seasons of being a differential, he has flipped the switch.
Instead of being a devastatingly good attacking wing-back, he has become a shell of his former self, struggling to attack with a presence and his already questionable defensive self has only further regressed.
It has still not been decided why he has struggled this year and there could be several reasons, so Fonseca is trying to make another point, with another game on the bench possible this weekend against Roma.
Alex Jimenez, Davide Bartesaghi and Filippo Terracciano are the current understudies, however, it can be questioned if any of them are a ‘true’ replacement for the full-back and this is why the club are still looking at the mercato.
It seems the leading option is Fabiano Parisi, the Fiorentina defender who could leave in January. According to Calciomercato.com, the Fiorentina defender could be heading to Milano depending on the ‘possible inclusion’ of the Diavolo, who are evaluating the defender as a Theo ‘alternative’.
