Cloe Lacasse, Arsenal’s summer signing from Benfica who is also a Canada international, reveals her love of game shows, poutine and riding on snowmobiles back home in Ontario.

Who is the one person you would like to meet, dead or alive?

Bob Barker [former host of The Price is Right], who just passed away. Rest in peace, Bob.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Teleportation, because I hate travelling. There are always nuisances when you’re travelling, so teleportation.

Describe yourself in three words.

Funny, a little risque and generous.

What is your worst habit?

I think it’s when I have a chocolate bar on the sofa and I tend to just put the wrapper next to me. I have a white, beige sofa, and then sometimes there are little chocolate stains on the sofa, which is gross, when you really think about it.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

I’m going to go with the chocolate bars because, when people come over, they think it’s… you know…

What would your friends say is your best character trait?

I’m always on time or early!

If you could switch lives with anyone in the world for a day, who would it be?

Rihanna.

What is your favourite childhood memory?

There are so many! Snowmobiling with my brother – because he would never want to take me.

What is your favourite WhatsApp group?

Probably the one with my parents, even though they don’t reply. Once a month, I get a response.

What is your most prized possession?

I’m not someone who is really about ‘items’ and things like that. I don’t feel like I have any of these. Maybe this necklace, from when my god-daughter was baptised. That’s nice.

What song has kept you on the dancefloor?

It Wasn’t Me, by Shaggy. A classic.

What is your dream three-course meal and dinner guests?

I do love Canadian poutine. That’s a classic. That’s not three courses, though, but I guess it’s three parts. It’s gravy, French fries and cheese curds, so it counts. My dinner guests… I’m going to bring Bob [Barker] and Rihanna, and let’s throw Shania Twain in there because she’s a Canadian legend. Those are my three.

If you could go on any reality TV show, what would it be?

[Jen Beattie in the background suggests Strictly Come Dancing]. I don’t know what that is! I’m going to go with The Price is Right.

Do you prefer a night in or a night out?

Night in.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

It was kind of in parts, but it would be to ‘take calculated risks’, when there is nothing on the line, and then in games you’re well-suited for those moments.

What is the best concert you have ever been to?

I went to see Ludacris when I was really young, and that was a fantastic concert.

What is your karaoke song?

That is also It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy, so it comes hand-in-hand.

What is the most ridiculous thing you have ever bought?

I’ve bought some strange things… Can I do what I received? I received a centaur blow-up costume as an anniversary present, which I thought was the strangest thing.

If you had a time machine, would you go back in time or to the future?

There’s no need to go back, let’s just go forward and check out what’s going on.

What has been your favourite holiday?

Christmas. It’s because of the vibes.

Do you have any hidden talents or a party trick?

Yes, I’m very good at breaking boards, in a martial arts way.

What is your biggest non-sporting achievement?

Probably getting my Bachelor’s degree. It was in law.

What is the best book you have ever read, and what is your favourite TV show?

I just finished reading Sapiens, I thought that was interesting. And my favourite TV show… That’s tough. I love New Girl.

What is the one rule you would like to change in your sport?

I think it would be the clock. I would make it more like futsal style, and when the ball goes out of play, the clock just stops, rather than it being like a continuous loop and you never know if it’s accurate or not.

What is the most out-of-character thing you have ever done?

I feel like I’m pretty in-character most of the time. Sorry, I don’t have anything for that!

If you were not a sportsperson, what would you be doing?

I think I would be a game-show host or a lawyer, one of those two. They’re kind of the same, right?
