Cliff Parisi admits smuggling contraband into 'I'm A Celebrity' jungle

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'s Cliff Parisi had a secret to share upon leaving the jungle as he admitted to smuggling in banned items.

The former EastEnders star told hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly in his exit interview on Monday that he had managed to bring in some contraband salt and pepper in his underwear.

"I did sneak some stuff in my pants," he admitted to the presenters.

"Did you?" a surprised McPartlin asked. Donnelly then shared: "We never saw that."

The show’s contestants often survive on rations of beans and rice without any seasoning, so it's not surprising Parisi tried to sneakily make things a bit more palatable for himself.

Parisi was the third famous face to be voted out of the competition behind radio presenter Adele Roberts and comedian Andrew Maxwell.

Despite not making it to the final to be crowned King of the Jungle as he hoped, the Call The Midwife actor said taking part in the programme was definitely worthwhile.

He explained: "I really wanted to win. It was an amazing experience unless you’ve done it you’ve got no idea. It’s really worth doing, I met some really fantastic people. I’m really looking forward to seeing my family."

Although, Parisi did share that he got off to a difficult start in the contest.

"I’d advise anybody if they get offered to do this, to do it because it’s fabulous,” he said. “The first week though was hard. I went into myself a bit, there are some big characters in there."

Nine celebrities remain in the jungle, although one of them has been the source of some controversy.

Rugby player James Haskell's temper has been a hot topic for viewers, with some even complaining to Ofcom about his outbursts.

However, his wife Chloe Madeley has spoken out in his defence, claiming his restricted diet is causing mood swings.
