Claudio Ranieri lauds Roma’s performance in 5-0 victory with Parma: “We must get out of quicksand.”
Roma manager Claudio Ranieri praised his team’s performance in today’s dominant display against Parma.
In his post-match interview with DAZN, Ranieri said, “We still have to improve. We had to erase the second half of Como and the boys did it, giving us a Merry Christmas.”
“Now let’s get on with the next match. We haven’t won away from home in 8 months. We have to try to wake up and do well away from home too.”
“Our position in Serie A is not good. We must get out of quicksand.”
“I didn’t make any changes because the players were playing the game well, without any drops in tension or concentration.”
“I thought I wouldn’t make any changes, letting the players who started it play the whole game.”
“Dybala, Hummels and Paredes? Paulo plays when he is well. If I see him tired or I see that the game needs something else I take him off. As Mourinho said there is a Roma with Dybala and one without.”
“About Hummels what can I say? World champion, he played a Champions League final. He is physically well, even if he had a fever a few days ago. If he tells me he is well for me he plays.”
“Paredes the same, he is an incredible midfielder. He plays with 1-2 touches, he has experience and knows how to manage the pace of the game.”
“I’m happy with this team, now we’re waiting for the San Siro test against Milan to close the circle.”
“Dybala’s future? We haven’t received any offer and I know he wants to stay.”
