Claudio Ranieri is going to become Roma’s coach for the third time in his career.

For the second time – given his brief stint in 2019 – it will be in very difficult circumstances seeing as Roma are currently sitting 12th in Serie A following the dismissals of Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric within the last two months.

Earlier today, Ranieri met with Roma president Dan Friedkin in London to complete the agreement for his return to the Italian capital.

After the meeting, ANSA briefly interviewed Ranieri who was on his way to the airport ahead of his scheduled flight back to Rome.

“A tough nut to crack? That’s why they called me,” the technician replies, smiling. “But we’re ready! The good guys are coming!”
