Homicide detectives learned jeremy skip its key was reading another inmate at the women says institution in nova scotia. Ctv's alexandra alex shows us what was inside those letters. >> 9 letters over 4 months written by 10 minutes serial killer. These handwritten pages were penned by jeremy skip its key between january and april. 2023 and mail to an inmate at the women's institution in nova scotia. They were submitted wednesday by winnipeg police detective sergeant michael macdonald, who sees the letters through a search warrant one year after skip it, skis arrest at the times. They were written, skip its. He was being held at milner ridge correctional centre in beausejour. Mcdonald testified some of the letters were destroyed, but the remaining ones were turned over. He also said he spoke to the inmates. Kaminsky appear to have been writing too, but did not provide any details about that conversation in the letters keep its key talks about his quote, extreme views and writes about a multifaceted plan to subjugate. And then eliminate white people. He appears to try and pursue a romantic relationship with the inmate, calling her sweet heart and seeing I will seriously consider getting married to you. The 9th and final letter submitted in court was written by scott is key to the inmate on april 25th. 2023. And jeremy scum it skews. Defence lawyers declined to cross examine the witness. The crown rested its case on june 3rd. The defence is expected to make its case by calling on witnesses and introducing forensic evidence of their own. The trial is scheduled to wrap up on june, the 6th winnipeg city councillors have voted to remove a member of the police board for what is being

characterized as an ethics breach. But kyle mason tells ctv news he resigned weeks ago. And the move is a formality. The city's executive policy committee voted in favour of removing mason and appointing colleen mayer in a spot. Now the mayor or police board chair markus chambers would elaborate on what the alleged ethics breach was. However, mason tells ctv news he was ticketed in the winter for inadvertently driving without insurance. He says that was technically an ethics code violation. And after some consideration decided to resign a few weeks ago on the city's website, mason is described as an award-winning indigenous leader, consultant and speaker and the founder of the north end family centre, serial killer robert pickton will remain in a medically induced coma for at least the next few days after he was attacked in a quebec prison. Police say medical staff will need to assess whether picton can live without life support. The 74 year-old was attacked on sunday. He's serving a life sentence for 6 counts of second-degree murder. He was charged with the murder of 26 women. Many of them indigenous police will be questioning a 51 year-old suspect in the attack. Police in eastern ontario have wrapped up the on-scene investigation into a deadly boat crash over the victoria day weekend. 3 young adults died and 5 others were taken to hospital after a speedboat ended up on top of the fishing boat on bobs lake near kingston, ontario, saturday night. The opp's collision reconstruction team is still piecing together what happened. And they say they can say if there will be charges at this point. All 3 people killed were in their early 20's. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The public service is recommending winnipeg trim several parking spots along burrows avenue over safety concerns despite an outcry from residents. The city has been trying to figure out how to cut down on a disproportionate number of t-bone collisions on the road between main street and mcphillips street.
