Winnipeg tied crews have been busy this morning, battling several fires right now. Crews are on scene at a fire in a large tree story. Commercial building. >> In the 1000 block of logan avenue that plays attended by 16 fiery. And that's was first reported at around 4.35 this morning. Earlier this morning, this fire in the 900 block of erin streets caused damage to a commercial building. According to the city's emergency response long the air and street fire broke out around 2.30 this morning. Crews are on scene for about 3 hours clearing that location at around 5:40am. Ctv news has reached out to the city regarding both of these fires. According to police, there are no traffic disruptions associated with either of these incidents. Winnipeg police are investigating after a person was hit by a vehicle in broad daylight. The incident happened saturday afternoon in the city's fort garry neighbourhood on pembina highway near mcgilvery. Police say the pedestrian was taken to hospital in unstable condition while the driver remained on scene to speak to investigators. A stretch of pembina highway was closed to traffic for several hours. Prime minister justin trudeau has confirmed he'll travel to france next month for the 80th anniversary of d-day. He'll be in france for 2 days and will be at a canadian ceremony at juno beach on the morning of 2 in the 6th. That will mark exactly 80 years since 14,000 canadians stormed the beach as part of an allied forces operation. That was a turning point in the second world war. That person has recovered from mild symptoms and had pink eye similar to the dairy farmer from texas who contracted the virus in april.
