Thank you, catherine. >> Winnipeg fire crews have been busy this morning, battling several fires right now. Crews are on scene at a fire in a large three-storey commercial building in the 1000 block of logan avenue. That blaze attended by 16 fire units was first reported at around 4.35 this morning. Earlier this morning, this fire in the 900 block of erin street caused damage to a commercial building. According to the city's emergency response log, the air and street fire broke out around 2.30 this morning. Crews are on scene for about 3 hours clearing fat location at around 5:40am. Ctv news has reached out to the city regarding both these fires. According to police, there are no traffic disruptions associated with either of these incidents. A convenience store on west broadway has been demolished after a raging fire on saturday morning. Crews were seen tearing down what was left of young food mart located on yonge street near balmoral street. The blaze broke out around 9:00pm friday and took firefighters more than 2 and a half hours to get the flames under control. One person managed to get out of the building before crews arrived on scene and no injuries were reported. Those who live near the store were temporarily evacuated as a precaution. The cause of the fire is under investigation with just a few weeks left before the summer break. The liberal government is fast tracking high-priority legislation, including the national pharmacare plan as ctv's annie bergeron-oliver reports, there's still concern that the list of medications to be covered is too limited. >> Talks are intensifying on parliament, where the liberals are trying to quickly pass new pharmacare legislation that could make many diabetes drugs and contraceptives free by year's end right now, only a fraction of canadian women are eligible for prescription birth control that low or no cost. >> Through a public drug plan, the liberals launch the first phase of their pharmacare plan in february, offering of 1.5 billion dollars. So far, no deals have been made with the provinces and territories and quebec and alberta want to opt out. We're hoping it's not a photo op. We're hoping that it doesn't become just a hollow promise. >> But that's why said we were concerned about pharmacare coming out one to sit delay getting the rare disease struck straight out to isn't can fall to the same kinds of issues that are truck strategy has. While many health care advocacy groups are on site saying a universal pharmacare plan will improve the health of canadians. Some who testified at committee this week. Red lobster canada has asked an ontario court to recognize the restaurant's bankruptcy in the U.S. red lobster filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, which prevents creditors from taking action against the company. The restaurant chain is expected to bring the application to the ontario superior court of justice on tuesday. There are 27 active red lobster restaurants in canada, with most located in ontario. One location is still operating in winnipeg. It's estimated that more than 90,000 canadians currently live with multiple sclerosis. And here in manitoba, community members came together to show their support for those who have been diagnosed with the unpredictable >> Ms walk saw around 600 people lace up their walking shoes sunday, hitting the path in kildonan park. The annual 4 kilometre track raises funds to support those living with a mask as well as research efforts, including those happening at the university of manitoba. I'm a person living with ms. I was diagnosed in 2011. And so I come to the walk every year because it gives me hope for the future. >> Inspires me because there's so many people here that I know they're willing to support me and take time out of their day to come. An advocate fundraise for this event. And I know that I'm not alone in my ms your name. And as canada says, it has already raised $175,000 and hopes to reach its fundraising goal of 200 and $25,000 over the next few weeks, people were treated with a glimpse into the city's past this weekend as dozens of heritage buildings and historic sites open their doors to the public. >> You're looking at the jr watkins medical building on annabel street.
