Montréal police are investigating after three people were stabbed to death in an alleyway overnight and a streak of violence in the cities borough. Braden brings us the details. >> Reporter: three young men are dead including a teenager after a violent and bloody brawl in the plateau. Launching a triple homicide investigation by montréal police. Stagnant blood remains at the scene where the knives were drawn. Officers were called just after 7:00 tuesday night responding to a fight breaking out between a large group of about 15 people in a parking lot. The victims who police say new each other were aged 15 -- 15, 23 and 25 years old. They were found with stabbed bones and sent to hospital in critical condition. Where all three later died from their injuries. This man said he witnessed one of the victims from his balcony -- before collapsing in a pool of his own blood. [ Speaking French ] >> Reporter: security footage shows people fleeing the scene before police could arrive. Police say that a possible getaway car, local ridesharing vehicle was abandoned nearby. >> It's being looked at to see who was driving that vehicle and if we could get footage at the same time. What if we could see who rented the car and the people that were in that car if there were more than one involved in the altercation or people that were -- >> Reporter: montréal police confirmed while they've spoken with multiple suspects, they'd made no arrests. Investigators ruled out any links at this time to organized crime. Global news, montréal. >> Police are investigating a shooting east of the downtown core. Cult of the area of isabela street and sherbourne street after midnight where they located a man with a gunshot wound behind the building. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the suspects age 16 and 19 broke into a home near yonge and steals and stole a vehicle. Police later found the stolen vehicle in the monte carlo parking lot. [ ] >> The heat is on end it feels like midsummer. With that comes a threat of showers and thunderstorms. At noon hour 27 in toronto, niagara getting close to 30. Twenty-seven in peterborough and wire ten. Slightly cooler but still way above seasonal in ottawa. That's without even factoring in the humidity. When you add that in, low to mid thirties. But in the last few minutes we're starting to see some of those thunderstorms pop up north of stratford and also on the other side in new york and pennsylvania. It's a matter of time until the storms get going at the maximum heating of the day and then spread up toward the north. That's what we are watching through the day today from the weather centre along with these winds that are going to pick up and cost over 50 kilometres per hour. It's still warm even behind the front. Nice day tomorrow and more on that in the weekend forecast ahead. >> The ontario federation of labour is launching a campaign with ontario's ndp to regulate heat stress in the province. >> Ontario summers are getting hotter and hotter. Unsafe working conditions for many workers in our province. We need better protect -- protection for workers from heat stress as ontario faces extreme heat events. The time for action is now. The government should bring in health and safety legislation using examples of protective legislation already adopted in other jurisdictions. >> They're calling for legislation to protect workers from extreme heat on the job. People who work indoor and outdoor jobs and the campaign will support change in the fall.

They plan to discuss the addition of more town houses and apartments, combating the housing crisis and construction of the gardiner expressway. >>> The city of toronto will provide an update on how to support people experiencing homelessness. The update provided by city councillors will address the city's approach to homeless encampments. The encampment have been a rising issue in toronto as a number of them have doubled since last spring. Deputy prime minister chrystia freeland and the minister of health mark holland are in toronto today making a dental care announcement. Here's what they had to say. >> As of this week, 2 million canadian seniors have been approved to receive coverage under our new canadian dental care plan. I'm also glad to announce there are no close to 10,000 oral healthcare providers including sparkling dental hygiene right here on saint clair in toronto offering services to patients covered under the canadian dental care plan. This includes dentists and dental specialists, independent dental hygienists and dentures.
