So we are talking about hot docs festival saying they are in financial constraints and it's forced the company to close its flagship theatre for three months and lay off staff. The festival has been warning the public of its financial jeopardy since april and has been looking for more financial support. Organizers of the festival say they will use the temporary close hewer to regroup and come with up a strategy to deal with the crisis. Doors for hot docs cinema will close june 12th. The granddaughter of elvis presley is suing to the sale of the graceland mansion. Riley kiyo claims a false investment firm is trying to illegally sell the memphis foam. The company claims lisa marie presley used the graceland as a collateral to take out a loan of $3.8 million money that they say she never paid back. Kiyo alleges deal was fraudulent on her mother's signature was forged.

Pat foran reports. >> I just thought [indiscernible] thought she was in trouble needed to help her. >> Reporter: erin McINERNIE of ajax caught a text message three weeks ago that appeared to be from her daughter asking for assistance. >> So the text came through as a text from my daughter with her first name spelt properly. And it's an unusual name. >> Reporter: text messages to McINERNEY claimed her daughter's phone was broken so she had a new one is and a new number that wasn't set with up the bank yet. She asked to borrow money to pay some bills. >> So she asked me to do that for her and she with reimburse. So that is what I did. >> Reporter: after McINERNEY etransferred $2500 and didn't hear anything from her daughter she called her original number to find out her daughter knew nothing about the messages and that she had been scammed. >> It was $2500 that I let go to who I thought was her and it wasn't. >> We all use text messaging and of course cyber criminals know this so they are coming after us on the tools and technologies like text messaging where we spend our time. >> Reporter: tech expert carmi levy says criminals are scouring through social media looking for names, numbers and addresses. Anything they can use to customize a fake text message to make it seem more believable. He advises never send money to anyone on the basis of a text. >> Call the person from whom it seems to be coming, ask them, did you text me? And ask for money? If the answer is "no" you know it's a scam attempt. >> Reporter: McINERNEY was with royal bank and a request for a refund was denied. A spokesperson told ctv news we remind clients to take precautions to ensure they are dealing with a trusted source when transferring or receiving of funds. McINERNEY wanted to warn others about this scam. >> They work on your emotions using your children against you, you know. Like who wouldn't want to help their child. >> Reporter: pat foran, ctv news. >> Sarah: we will turn to business news now as we are getting better sense of how canadians feel about the state of grocery prices here in canada. The majority believe costs at stores are still supplying around a quarter of people blame the grocery chains. A new ligger poll found 64% of those surveyed feel the rate of inflation at grocery stores is getting worse. Only 6% thought things were improving while 25% feel things about the same. When it comes to who is to blame 29% blame attempts by grocery chains to increase their profit margins. 26% blame global economic factors 20% blame the federal government.
